So why does stupid stuff happen?
If God is real, I mean.

Why did Donald Trump get elected?
Why do planes crash?






Why do people we love die without knowing Jesus?
Is it our fault for not constantly barraging them with Bibles and tracts?

Maybe.

But that's not the point of this...

The point is crappy things happen as a test.
It's a test.
To bring us closer to God.

Also, if God stopped every bad thing in the world, there wouldn't be anything to bring non-believers (and believers) to him.

Ya know?


Yeah yeah it's short, but I have to go do math and print up some house plans I've made.

What Does The Bible Mean To Us?

What is the Bible?

Well:

It’s a book, right?

But… with more books inside…

Oh! Paper. It’s made out of paper… and uh… ink?

And it’s stories about God.



Yeah.



Done, right?

Nope! I mean, right, but…

I meant in a more… spiritual sense.

Like, it’s a love letter, or…

Cheese…? Who wrote these notes?

Let’s try this again:

What is the Bible?

And what does it mean for us?
According to my youth pastor, the Bible is the story of how much God loves us. It can tell us about His personality, His ideals, His thoughts.

So… what do I think?

What does the Bible mean to us as Christians? Honestly?
I think she’s right. I mean, that pretty much sums up everything I’ve heard about the Bible.

But it also tells us the story of our mistakes. As a species. Which goes back full circle to…




Grace.

Yup. Our mistakes… over and over again as a species, humanity has failed.

Currently, we’re failing! So the Bible also tells us the story of God’s grace for us.

Which in turn goes right back to his love for us.

None of us deserve anything from God.
None of us are owed anything from God.

We don’t deserve his love, but he gives it to us anyways because he has so much of it to give.

That is what the Bible means to us.

That is what it is about.
